The whole complex arises out of the composition of two large functional blocks.  One containing the religious hall and the interconnected service rooms and another block, housing all those functions concerned with the social life of the community, these blocks face on to a tree lined courtyard, so are closely connected with the outdoor world.

The entrance to the church is reached through a high door, a kind of architrave with a double height opening which is intended to amplify the sensation of the great spirituality of the church. The hall intended for the religious services is circumscribed by a curved wall, an ellipse, a sign of flexibility which should give the idea of encircling the faithful in a great embrace.  The roof of the hall was conceived as a large single pitch, a single inclined plane recalling a tent, a place of welcome and restoration.
