The transformation of the historic palazzo in Valletta into a five-star hotel, maintaining and rethinking its original architectural themes. Exsamples include the facades with the restoration of the typical bow windows, which characterize Maltese architecture so much and the interiors redesigned to fit the building’s new purpose. This particular project was based on three significant aspects, i.e., the facade’s monumental restoration, accommodating the new needs resulting from the repurposing while maintaining a connection with the previous functions, and, finally, a detailed design where history and contemporaneity could merge.
